Line up from the west side and don't cut the corner. Narrow channel means anchoring on the upwind side in line with the channel so be ready to deploy both bow and stern anchors. Channel stays deep right up to the sides. Good holding in mud.
Fishing boat traffic during the day, and crab traps in the middle of the channel, but not an issue if approached in the daylight. Wouldn't do it after dark.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Draft: 4.5'Overall Rating:5Holding:5Wind Protection:3Current Flow:3Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:2Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1Pet Friendly:1Cell Service:3Anchored here most recently in August of 2018. This is a narrow channel and there may be small boats moving through the channel so tying to the side is necessary. We run the bow, into the upwind bank and deploy side ties (or anchors) to keep the stern 90 degrees to the bank. There was 6+ feet of water in the channel. To access this channel, approach from the west and line up on the channel and proceed at slow bell into the channel to a desired location. Do not block the channel.
This area has a large mosquito population, so get below well before dark.
This location is more thoroughly covered in older cruising Texas guide books.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
