We needed a marina to dock our boat for two weeks during the high Looper traffic season. Midway Marina in Fulton, MS was the only one in the southern part of Tombigbee Waterway section of the Loop to accommodate us.
We were very pleased to have our trawler place in a covered slip, which we understand is unusual for transients. Our first point of contact was affectionately known as "Grumpy" who assisted us with our lines and gave us a warm welcome. The folks with boats on D Dock were very friendly, and Mark, who has a long-term slip there, went out of his way to be helpful.
The grounds are expansive and well-maintained. Our sporting dog loved his walks. The frisbee golf course is a nice amenity. The restaurant is excellent, with hearty portions of delicious food at reasonable prices. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We ate there before leaving the boat to go home for a week and again when we got back from our trip.
The marina staff was warm, welcoming, and responsive. Decorations for the seasons was a nice touch. When we left there were fall and Halloween decorations and we returned to the signs of Christmas.
We used the pumpout on the dock and also the courtesy car without issues.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Seven Loopers all arrived at the Midway Marina at 1430 in the afternoon. The staff was very efficient in guiding the parade of boats into the various slip assignments. We were running on only one engine with a moderate crosswind. There were two dock hands at the slip to help us with lines make the turn from the fairway into the slip (a big help). Be sure to follow the well-marked channel into the marina as the surrounding area is a flooded wooded area with many tree stumps. The transient docks are on the south side (starboard) as you enter the marina. The floating docks are relatively stable, but are showing a good deal of wear with rough dock boards and some missing cleats. Three of the power pedestals were nonfunctional, but the working pedestals had sufficient 30/50-amp connections for all of the boats. The boathouse is at the top of the hill under the restaurant. There are four washers and four dryers, but only one of each was working. There is only one restroom and one shower in the back of a comfortable boater's lounge. The onsite restaurant is above the boater's lounge offering a broad menu of good food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday. There is nothing around the marina, but there is a single loaner car available, which can be used to get to Fulton or Tupelo where there is a Walmart, grocery stores and other restaurant options. The marina also owns a marine repair company (across the river). We used Midway Marina's repair services to resolve a transmission problem. The technician was exceptionally polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and the rates were very reasonable. Between the marina staff and the restaurant (also repair services if needed), we would stop here again.

Good help with docking. They answer both phone and VHF promptly. Good docks in the process of being renovated. Did not use showers or restrooms so cannot comment. No wifi in evidence but good cell coverage. Nice parklike setting up the hill for walking dogs. Great on-site restaurant, we would stop there again just for the restaurant.

Well marked approach channel, south of the stump field. Laundry, baths below the restaurant up the hill. Fuels (seemed high $). Restaurant very good, but closed Sunday and Monday. Loaner car available. Nothing else close by Marina.

We came in late with 4 or 5 other boats on Oct. 27, 23. Staff was able to get everyone to their slips pretty easily. Docks were a little rough. We didn't use any of the services provided, but did eat at the restaurant which had very good food. Thankfully we beat the dinner rush as they were very busy.

I spent 4 - 5 days at the Midway Marina, and the facility and service were excellent. They check all of the boxes (clean) shower, bathroom, laundry, and ship's store.
The restaurant was very welcome, if a LITTLE spendy, but worth every dime, with cheerful, attentive service and good food. Obi-wan me in once I contacted them on the radio. I had 6' of water everywhere I needed to move the boat, so I may have been a little overly concerned with my 5' 6" draft.
They are also affiliated with Midway Marine, their own boat store. Now, they are more about serving bass fishermen and pontoon boats than cruisers, but the diesel mechanics they sent me were cheerful, friendly, and competent. And they only billed me for "work hours," not "hours spent running around for tools and parts," which I thought was very sporting of them.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Easy access through a well marked entrance and a good stop off from Aqua or Bay Springs. Docks are a little rough, missing cleats, and a little exposed to the river traffic, but they're being worked on. Has power, water, bathrooms, and showers.

Easy to book on Dockwa. Buoyed channel and 6-foot water depth everywhere we went. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant with excellent food and service. Laundry, showers and lovely boaters lounge, with indoor and outdoor spaces. Courtesy car, with a Walmart in town. Transient docks are a little exposed and dock repairs are underway, but we highly recommend Midway.

Erin and her staff were instrumental in getting us into our slip in the DARK! Needless to say they stayed late to do so! One unisex bath/shower just off the boaters lounge which is perfect for a Cap'n Meeting, cards or potluck. Laundry is $1/load, restaurant on site is really good AND a courtesy car! If you need mechanic work, Midway Marine is responsive and affordable. Overall, I highly recommend Midway Marine.

Spent on night here May 2023, on a trip to move my boat south down the rivers toward home.
I called the marina on CH16 from about 1.5 miles out. They talked me in off the river with clear directions. There is a literal field of exposed tree stumps in the water, so pay attention and listen to their advice. Private buoys mark the fair water. Not hard to navigate, you just have to pay attention and getting directions from marina staff made it easier.
Staff member came out to wave us in and catch dock lines.
I got a side tie on a long pier. 50amp power and city water at the slip. Office has a few snacks, and a large walk in cooler of beer.
And, three dogs. All friendly.
The docks are old, but the one we were on had sections of bright new wood, and other lumber in evidence showing that work was in progress.
On site restuarant was not open the night we were there. Coutesey car is available. Restaurants and Walmart are nearby, about 5 miles.
The marina is exposed to the river, not up an inlet. So could be rolly from big wakes or strong winds. Not an issue when I was there.
Marina wifi seems pretty good, Verizon and Tmobile had coverage at the dock, with one or two bars.
Simple, but adequate. Great location for breaking up the long group of locks.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Pro: Great staff gives guidance on entrance channel and docking assistance. Laundry and lounge are clean. Restaurant is worth a visit. Firepit is available for "docktails"
Con: Docks are tired and rough. Local dogs are not leashed. Lawn around marina and restaurant is covered in dog poop. Courtesy pickup is filthy inside and bed is full of garbage.
Conclusion: A valuable resource on the Tenn-Tom but needs work.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Midway Marina is very nice with friendly, efficient staff. They coordinated the arrival of 4 boats and caught our lines at the floating wooden docks. The marina has a ships store, restaurant, captains lounge, 2 clean bathroom/showers and 4 coin washer/driers. They also have diesel, gas, pump out and a courtesy car. Wifi works well at the dock but we had no T Mobile service.

Don't confuse on Dockwa with other Midway Marina in NC, we did finally get a refund from Dockwa. Great smaller marina and very friendly. They have a great restaurant on-site, a lot of locals and excellent food, can be very busy. Visited the Elvis Presley birth home in Tupelo with the courtesy truck, ~30 minutes away. There is a Midland Marine store about 10 minutes away, tends to be very fish boat oriented, who knew they were so expensive! Also there is a Tiffin RV manufacturers tour at two of their local plants, again ~30 minutes away. Great cold beer room.

Great rural marina very user friendly staff and facility. Due to hurricane activity and personal commitments settled here on monthly rate (very reasonable) while taking a break before completing the loop. Clearly marked entry channel just off the main channel (call Tyler on 16 or 68 he will guide you in) between locks. Fixed docks are well maintained, Power is stable, Fiber optic internet, water provided at no additional fee. Friendly atmosphere and staff, courtesy car available for use also offered use of golf cart for onsite mobility, all services and shopping available within 4 miles in Fulton. Owners also have a marine dealer with available staff for any repairs or parts needed. New Restaurant onsite to open soon. Great small marina with a family atmosphere, water level 6' dockside, 40 acres for my big lab to roam. Best small marina so far south of Illinois (IMHO).
