Free cty pier with good protection from South wind on West side. Not a great place in North or Northeast wind. Needed fender boards and many fenders as Pier is sheet piling but in great shape. Tie on to steel pipe along the top of Pier. Depth 10-11 feet midway on west side although depth finder reporting 6-7 feet because of thick grass and weeds. Public restrooms at end of Pier. A few restaurants within a short walk. Great beach about 1/2 mile away. Very busy on Sunday afternoon with boat traffic but with minimal wakes. Pier is a parking lot and street so lots of people around. Quieted down by 9p and had a peaceful night as we were the only boat on Pier staying overnight. Would stay again.

There are steel walls and as the other reviewers have stated the metal goes in and out and you have to be careful to position your fenders to stay out of the gaps. The north part of the west wall has adequate water and more protection from the north to north east wind. The east wall about halfway down has wooden vertical posts on the outside of the steel for about 60 feet, so one large vessel or two small could probably tie up there and have more protection from the wall. No power, no restrooms. Several good restaurants within walking distance.

Free Pier docking, the pier is more or less a parking lot so there's lots of foot traffic. Good choice of local restaurants, the only grocery store I found was a SaveALot, approximately .7 miles from the pier. Overall it's free and realistically the same protection that you would get at one of the marinas without paying if you can do without shore power.

New dock with a different set up. Long horizontal pipe along the top to tie to. The face is a corrugated steel bulkhead so you need to get careful with your fenders. There is an 18" gap about every 18 inches, but it is all smooth and in good repair. The park itself is clean and close to town. There are no services (water or power) but it is free.

We were treated to a free concert (they are every other Thursday). Two good bands, Ion Sky and Uncle Tom's Remedy. It ended at 8:30, so it didn't keep us up too late.

Large free Dock with room for 6 40 foot boats on each side. West side is very protected by a breakwater. East side is unprotected. Pipes down the length of the pier for tying off. Lots of restaurants within a block of the pier and a really good fish and seafood store 2 blocks away. Great parks to walk the dog.
