Marina Review for Safe Harbor Cowesett

Worst managed marina I have encountered both as a seasonal and transient customer. Occasional security guard that does nothing to stop unauthorized people from entering and no gates to docks at south yard. No-wake buoys are gone, be prepared to be rocked at dock. no captains lounge, glaring flood lights. Pump out has no suction and dangerous due to a large submerged rock (no buoy) on the approach. parking lot is a minefield. Bathrooms old and very tired. Pool usually closed. gas dock is always a docking challenge made worse by impatient boaters crowding the fairway. SHM goes thru GM's yearly here, they should be ashamed. Service dept is incompetent, and they make it very difficult for outside services come in to compete with them. Excessive noise and drunken crowds from Chelo's restaurant. One positive is the ships store has a broad selection of maintenance parts and the manager is a professional. The senior dock crew is good, but most are new every year and not trained at catching lines. There are many marina's in Narragansett Bay, no need to even consider this one.

Easy docking. Well run, quiet, private yet 3 blocks from town.
