3rd visit and the facilities are as good as they were 2 years ago when new! Docks are an easy approach even in wind and tide and Dan makes the process even easier. Less than 10 minutes to waterfront shops and restaurants walking past historic homes and close to a neighborhood grocery.

Aug 2024 Pricing was $100 plus $15 for power. Water and Ice at no extra charge. Marina car available.

Wide, newer floating docks, free bulk ice, spotless air conditioned bath house and captains lounge. Very attentive and helpful dockmaster gives his home phone number (lives nearby). Free bulk ice and courtesy car with the Check Engine lamp NOT illuminated...a rare find. Well protected basin, no wakes. Free self serve pumpout.

WOW!!!!! This is one great marina!! A beautiful facility with a top notch staff!!!
Dan Hawryschuk Dock Master/Assistant Manager is bar none one of the best we have encountered! The minute we reached out and said we were coming in he was in constant radio contact and walked us right into our slip. He handled the lines, got us secured, hooked up our power and made sure we were all set. We went to the office to check in and he showed us the facilities. The pictures don't lie. They are current and accurate! Free laundry, free loaner car, free ice, clean showers ( look new ) great lounge area. Wi-Fi works well, docks are in great condition. Walking distance to downtown…approximately 4 blocks. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone passing through. This place is an absolute gem and an affordable rate !

Great marina. We had planned to stay for 2 nights but soon after arriving discovered we needed to repair a shaft seal. Matt and Dan worked their magic allowing us to extend our stay for over a week until we could get into a service yard to make the repair. Good floating docks, courtesy car, free laundry, great lounge and only 3 blocks to downtown Beaufort. I would recommend staying here over any of the marinas on Front Street.

Well marked approach leads to strong floating docks. Dockmaster is very helpful guiding you in and assisting as needed. All of the amenities that would expect and more. As a transient you will appreciate the courtesy car, meticulous showers, and even three large clean washers and dryers. Management is friendly and easy to work with. One note would be that some of the docks slide up and down on the outer spud poles which have a steel bracket which surround the poles. Use caution not to rub against them if your approach is off.

5/14-15/2023. This is a great marina! Dan H, Dock Master is a real professional. He was working hard as several boats were coming in at the same time. He was very appreciative of us being fully ready with lines, etc. He came back and provided overview of area with restaurant recommendations. Courtesy car is a nice van for 2 hr usage. All of the comments are spot on. We've been in Beaufort 4 times in the last 10 years and this is by far the best marina. Protected from all winds from most directions.
They recommended a mechanic who showed up within 2 hours diagnosed the problem and returned the next day with parts. Great service at all levels.
So far our best stop in our first 1000 miles of the loop!

Free ice!! Can't beat that with a stick! Courtesy car is nice and was used for re-provisioning at the local Lowes food store.

Homer Smith is an example of what all marinas should be. The floating docks are new, you will have help docking, they have a fuel and pump-out dock, two courtesy cars at no charge, outstanding WiFi by OnSpotWiFi, protected 360 from wind and waves, no current, free washer and dryer, free ice, and within three blocks of downtown Beaufort, NC with many restaurants. They are in the process of building a new Captain's Lounge with a large panel TV and more. The crew is very helpful and welcoming.

Stayed here for four days in mid April 2021. Facilities are 'ok', nothing extraordinary but very functional. Matt and crew are third generation watermen, not corporate employees and demonstrated great southern hospitality to us while we were there.

Location to downtown is the best and the availability of two courtesy cars and free laundry are nice perks. Granted the cars are a bit rough around the edges but they get the job done.

Will certainly be back during future trips up/down the ICW.

Homer Smith's is an ok facility, physically, and it's in a good location. However, management's attitude about cancellations and refunds is oppressive, i.e. the manager, Matt, used a 48 hour notice period as justification to charge me for a day we did not use. When it was brought to his attention that Dockwa shows a 24 hour notice period for cancellations (a term with which we had complied), he ignored the fact and charged my card $102 anyway. Suffice to say, Homer Smith's refusal to resolve the issue fairly was unpleasant and we will not stop there again.

Protected from the current, which is a definite plus. Decent floating docks, so no climbing from boat to dock. Really appreciated the loaner car to take care of some business and re-provision. The walk downtown is good, some historical homes, and a few restaurants along the water front. Worth taking the dinhy to Carrot Island beach. We did see the wild horses there.

Don't let looks deceive you! This marina, run by a former commercial fisherman, is home to an active fleet of fishing boats. But their floating docks are in excellent shape. The very clean restroom, shower, and free washer & dryer almost seem out of place in this working man's marina! The best wi-fi we've ever had anywhere! A free loaner vehicle is available for those needing to get provisions. Beaufort's Front Street is only three blocks away, offering numerous culinary establishments to satisfy your palate, historic homes to feed your love of history and local retail shops to help you part with your money!
