Stayed here on two occasions. First time a storm made our anchor drag, and the second time had good holding. Dogs were swimming at the beach. Not good protection from wind or wakes from many boats going by. Pretty lighthouse and sunrise.

Stayed a week and loved the location which is walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops and groceries. It's next to an outdoor venue with live music so can be loud on weekends but nice free concerts. Reservation process is a bit of a hassle. Gated docks with some homeless around. Short distance to visit the Peterborough Lift Lock.

Having to sign a multi-page lease (wanted immediately while underway with no pricing information on it) for a one-night stay is ridiculous. Then when we checked in, we were told we'd be charged $50 if we don't return the facility keys. Then we were called while at a restaurant for additional paperwork - for one night. No welcoming words or smile. Will probably go elsewhere next time due to the hassle.

Does it get much better than an anchorage next to a winery? It's a beautiful anchorage with clear water and sand bottom, and we took the dinghy to the Leelanau Cellars wine tasting room with great dinghy docks. Restaurant too. Holding was great in sand, and anchor came up clean. Depth was 6'-12' right on the edge between the shallow and deep areas (clearly visible in sand). We were there on a calm night so not much wind and protected on three sides. It could get rocky with winds from the south. Loved it there.

Beautiful and crowded anchorage. At least 20 boats stayed in the anchorage. Very well protected by beautiful rock cliffs. Access to shore on the west end with hiking.

Beautiful waterfalls and great town. This was a wonderful place to wait out some windy weather. Love the cute town and great food. Sign says free docking for 48 hours. However, there is also a donation box. There is 15-amp and 50-amp power. Too bad we need 30 amps, but that's no problem. Water available. No restrooms. It's a popular place for fishing enthusiasts. Loved it.
