Black Cay

Description:
Anchor north of the sand beach and grass in 7-12 feet of Water quickly shoals to less than 4 feet of water as you approach the beach. On Black Cay, you will find the abandoned 1/2 built house on top of the northern section and the construction material site on the South. There is a nice rocky/sand beach on the Exuma sound side also. There is Exuma Point Restaurant across on Great Exuma a short dinghy ride away.

We were here Jan. 16, 24. We anchored at 23°41'47.5"N 75°59'08.7"W. We got a lot of waves from the sound coming through the cut. On our 2nd day a boat moved, and we moved in a little closer and that helped, but we still had plenty of waves. It wasn't horrible, we could sleep and do everything we needed to do. A small beach to get ashore and we explored an abandoned house under construction. It is under video surveillance as the other boater told us as someone said something from the camera when their kids were throwing rocks. A blue hole was a short dinghy ride away for snorkeling and there is a restaurant not far away either.
