We stopped here for a night on our way north from Oriental in late August. We made our way in past green #3 and dropped the hook. Magnificent sunset, breathtaking moonrise, not a single other boat around. Calm, protected, good holding in thick mud. The scenery is outstanding.

We stayed here for one night and it met our needs. We had to maneuver around many crab pots. We anchored in 8 feet of water with 55 feet of chain and our Rocna anchor held well in the mud. It's a beautiful, secluded spot. We had the place to ourselves. There was a sailboat anchored on the other side of the ICW and they might have had better wind protection. We had 4 bars on our T Mobile phones. There were lots of flies and a few hornets. The wind helped to keep other bugs at bay. We would stay here again.
