This was a great little marina, but the approach from the ICW certainly requires careful attention and precision. Fortunately, the marina staff are ready, willing, & able to watch over and guide you down the chute.
One downside--and this is not the marina's fault--is the $6.00 toll for the bridge to the mainland.
The marina is very well protected from winds and waves--I would consider it a hurricane hole (while keeping storm surge in mind).View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very narrow dredged channel with sand shoals on both sides. That being said, the staff can help direct you through the multiple turns by contacting them on channel 14. The marina is quiet and clean. There is a small party store a short walk from the maina who rents golf carts but make sure to get there early, or call to reserve one, as they run out quickly. Without a cart you won't be able to get to the main business district on the island..
The reason for 4 stars and not five is the confusion with the staff. We were told on arrival that the restaurant was closed that evening. After heating up and eating some leftover pizza a gentleman, who lives on his boat in the marina, asked us to go to dinner with him at the restaurant. When we told him we just finished eating on our boat because the restaurant was closed, he said the staff was wrong and the restaurant was indeed open. Unfortunately, because of the misinformation from the staff, we missed out on an opportunity to have dinner with a very friendly fellow boater.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very quiet marina located adjacent to homes and condos. Very clean. A bit difficult to navigate; do not attempt after dark unless well equipped to identify and carefully navigate channel markers. Zero wakes from passing boats. Seems a bit pricey for what you receive at $3.50 per foot but apparently just access to the island supports it. Wifi available if close to the office.
