Brighton, ON, CAN
Brighton is a charming small town dotted with Victorian era houses that is 68 nm from Kingston, 65 nm from Oswego, 48 nm from Rochester and 81 nm from Toronto.
Consequently, it is a very popular destination for boaters and you will not want to miss Brighton and Presqu’ile Park with its wide sandy beaches, forests of birch, pine and maple and extraordinary bird life (more than 290 species have been identified). The almost 1-mile-long Marsh Boardwalk Trail lets you experience nature at its closest. It includes teaching platforms, lookouts, bridges and a walk through a willow tree.
At the tip of the park are Ontario’s second oldest, still-operating lighthouse and the original lighthouse keeper’s living quarters.
The Waterway Guide Team has gained extensive boating knowledge over the years, and now we are sharing all of the tips, skills and tools we’ve picked up along the way!
