Called on VHF 5 times before 10:45am. Received no response. Had to call the phone number listed and were told we needed to request opening before 10:45am. Operator opened for us late.

Yes, he is operating correctly. Bridge will open for commercial traffic on their demand.

Hello I have been observing that on the February 1st and 2 second the bridge opened after hours. the bridge opened both days at 9:00 to give way to a crane boat. I have understood that the draw shall open on the quarter-hour and three-quarter hour. I just want to know if the person who operates the bridge is acting correctly. Thank you.
