Casco Bay’s urban/rural divide allows boaters to get all the city they want in Portland while keeping quiet islands within a short day trip. An entire summer could be filled investigating the necks jutting south into Casco Bay, but the 17 miles of coastline between Cape Small and Pemaquid Point epitomize the rugged scenery that has made Maine famous.
