We stayed here 3 nights between 01Feb-05Feb2024 and had a great experience. The marina isn't scenic per se as ot's right next to a major road, but the VIP lounge is nice and the Boathouse restaurant next to the marina has GREAT food and reasonably priced. Lots of grassy area to walk dogs. The marina is narrow, so it could be tricky for less experienced folks or those without a bow or stern thruster. We're experienced enough that it wasn't an issue the two times we rode in to a slip. Electric, water, and fuel all available here. Great, friendly staff.

The bridge is slow to open, but the operator was very quick to respond. There is a sensor in the water that will cause the bridge to stop opening if you cross the sensor before it's fully opened. We learned this thanks to the current pushing us that direction, but he was understanding about it when we radio'd back in to ask why it stopped. We didn't encounter this anywhere else, so not sure if that's typical.

We passed through here on 02Feb2024 headed east and back west on 03Feb2024. The ladies working the station each day were a delight and very quick to open the bridge.

We stopped here for fuel only and a bathroom break for us and the dogs, but what a beautiful landscape with rolling meadows and super quiet. Fuel was reasonable. The bathrooms were just remodeled a couple months prior of our Feb 2024 stop, and they're small but very nice. We were there late afternoon with quite a few vessels there and the bathroom was very clean. Brody that fueled us up was awesome and said there is always transient slips available. No electric or water for the vessels, but this is where we'll be staying before crossing the lake next time we head eastbound.

Bad first experience with this marina heading eastbound. They "remembered" that they had a fishing tournament the weekend of our one night arrival, and cancelled our reservation 2 days before for a 33ft cruiser. Had to minimally stop for fuel before making it across the lake that we radio'd the lock upon arrival. The dock master on the radio was rude telling us the marina was closed because of the fishing tournament that he expected us to move on until we said fuel up was critical. It was chaos in the lock with boats coming in that weren't authorized to which we heard the lock workers talking about amongst themselves, but not addressing the vessels. Needless to say we fueled up and got out of there quickly. Next time we head eastbound, we'll stop at Port LaBelle Marina if we need fuel before heading across the lake.
