As many people that go through here, I'm surprised there aren't more reviews! We arrived on a rising tide as recommended. Charles, Tim and Chris all were fantastic guiding us in and helping to dock the boat. After sidling up to the dock starboard side to, the dockhands turned the boat to face back out the way we came! Fun process to experience and watch! There were 18 other Looper boats docked that night and we all enjoyed the picnic deck at the top of the ramp.
It is an easy walk along the red brick walkway to "downtown" Delaware City and the point where you can catch a ferry to Fort Delaware. The comraderie of all the transients was fantastic with the harbor host, Foster Shucker, arranging dinner for all at Kathy's and offering transport to other destinations. We also ate at Sundays 64 (only open Sundays) and had the biggest portions for breakfast that were incredibly tasty!
We had a very informative weather briefing that is done daily (not to miss). You make your own decisions, but they do give recommendations. We ended up staying an extra day based on this, while some chose to go.
We left on an incoming tide and were able to easily get underway ourselves with a stern spring-line... untying the bowline to let the bow swing into the current and then jumping aboard after releasing the springline.
Highy recommend this experience to all passing through!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

As stated in other reviews, the entrance to the Fairlee Creek is quite exciting! The approach is parallel to the small island/spit. as you approach the beach straight ahead of you, you'll throttle up some power and turn hard to starboard through the narrow opening! The water inside can be very calm at slack tide, or churn like water in a toilet being flushed!
Docking this trip was a little frustrating as we couldn't raise anyone on the radio or VHF. We finally did get some help docking.
The facility wasn't quite open for the season when we arrived late May... the pool was being prepped and the restaurant only open Fri and Sat. The grounds are beautifully kept and we enjoyed walking the small beach nearby!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Fast running current outside the marina that will move you along quickly if not careful! The new dockmaster, Taylor, was very helpful at the fuel dock, pumping out as well as docking at the slip. As you wind around the marina, the water becomes very calm. Docks are fixed and could be done stern or bow in. If bow in, there is a step attached to the dock.
On Saturdays, there is a full-blown breakfast served at the pavillion next to the olympic sized pool! Lots of members come in for this. I think there was at least 100+ people of all ages. Very family-friendly atmosphere!
We had an attachment patch replaced on our dinghy while here. Lots of services available.
Music nightly at Red Eyes bar nearby. Restaurants within walking distance and (my favorite) Dessert First enarby as well!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Love this marina with floating docks, fabulous dock hands a proximity to the quaint town! Choose from facilities in the big building... free laundry, bathroom and showers, or the guesthouse building... bathroom and showers, depending on where you dock. Restaurant, pool and pet "relief" area on marina grounds as well as services if you need something done to your boat. The boaters lounge sports free coffe and tea, puzzels and an assortment of books. Love this marina! Our favorite restaurant is nearby- CD Cafe! Shuttle provided by staff to nearby grocery and pharmacy.

Quiet and cozy is how I'd describe this marina. The dock hands are very helpful and the site is beautiful. The fixed docks could use some TLC, but we've never had a problem as they've always put us on the t-head/pumpout dock. The newly renovated restrooms, shower and lounge are very nice and clean as a whistle! The pool is partially shaded so choose your spot in sun or shade. There nothing for a couple of miles, but the marina has courtesy bikes if you like. This is a nice spot to kick back and relax!

This is a great location out of the main fray of boats, but with easy access to everything Eastport and Annapolis has to offer! We stayed here during the Naval Academy's Commissioning (Graduation) week on our Great Loop journey. The drawbridge in Spa Creek opens on the 1/2 hour. Communication with the marina was easy and personable, the floating docks are convenient with a nice green area for dog-walking. There is laundry, restrooms, showers and a work-out center on site. This is a gated facility in a nice neighborhood best biked to get to stores and restaurants. There is also a water taxi which stops at the marina's covered slip area that you can take right to Annapolis's main street. Be sure to tour the Naval Academy, have a biscuit at Chick N' Ruth's, eat a great meal at Preserve and have a hand-made ice cream at Annapolis Ice Cream Company!

Great marina all-around! We're on The Great Loop in a Silverton 43. The marina was easy to access... floating docks with wide fairways and finger piers on both sides of the boat. Dockmaster, Wayne, met us at the pier with Ashley to help us tie up and give us a welcome packet. Docks are secure with a carded gate key. The bathroom/shower facilities are clean, pool and a large boater's lounge with TV and WiFi. There's a public boardwalk running into downtown Baltimore that each of the gated docks are located on. Lots of restaurants, Safeway, Ace Hardware and West Marine are within easy walking distance. Plenty of green-space for dog-walking and the marina has a dog-treat gumball machine! This is our second time here and we'd highly recommend it to others!

Off the Choptank River in Cambridge Creek, Mid-Shore Electric is just beyond the drawbridge and to the left. It was gusty when we came in and there were plenty of people to help with lines on the fixed docks. The staff are knowlegeable and friendly... we had many conversations over the phone before arriving to establish exactly what needed to be done. Brian trouble-shot and installed an engine shut-down restart component for the Sea-Fire fire suppression system on our 2004 Silverton 43MY. The entire team here is professional, courteous and more than willing to entertain our questions and "need-to-see" wishes! We would definitely use them again!

What a beautiful marina! The entrance is a very narrow channel, but follow the directions of the harbormaster and you'll do just fine! Right off the fixed docks is a clubhouse with bath and shower facilities newly renovated. The pool is well kept and there are bikes available to ride into the town. Town is a bit of a ride! It took us a while to get to a diner for food and then to get back... We were exhausted!

Loved this marina so much we decided to make it our home! Dockmaster Dave is very knowlegeable, kind and attentive to all his slips. The facilities are top-notch, clean and easy to find. The pool is right next to the Surfrider Restaurant where you can eat inside or out. Floating docks and very pet-friendly! There's an area for pets right near the parking lot and for the most part, people pick up after their dogs. The entrance to the marina is an easy cruise with it being sheltered in Hampton Roads across from Norfolk Navy shipyard. A busy harbor, but not overwhelming so.
The Safe Harbor reciprical privileges are fantastic with so many across the waterways! We are able to stay at available Safe Harbor marinas for 3 consecutive nights for free. We also get fuel at the marina's cost. You just can't beat it!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
