Do not count on 18'. For some reason all of these bridges are listed as 18'. However, 18' on the railroad bridge is likely closer to a lowest tide mark, vs. MHHT. If you have any sort of air draft concerns, approach with caution. I think of it as closer to a 15' clearance, generally, though flood conditions likely bring that down to a foot or two less at times.

Vertical clearance is measured from MHW. The Coast Pilot states clearances for bridges over Georgetown Channel to be 18 feet.
