Rating this marina with only 5 stars doesn't do it justice!!
Annie and I have been in the mega/super yacht industry as Chef/Captain for many decades and have lived dockside for most of them. So when we say this marina is amazing, its from experience! Now that we are semi retired and cruising onboard Drunken Monkeys on our DIME! We seek the best marina value/experiences we can and are so glad we made the stop here. The original plan was to stop for a few weeks and we ended up staying for months. We even decided to haul out in their great boatyard for the remainder of the 2022 hurricane season.
The BLM team "Kyle, Ciara, Vibert, Matt, Adam & Michael" are truly there to make your stay a great one. They go out of there way to help and make you feel at home in BLM. This is one of a very few marinas that is truly oriented towards cruisers/liveaboards.
Not to go unmentioned: Free is not a word you hear often in yachting!!! Let me share a few things that are totally free yes free at BLM… on Mon, Wed, Fri evenings there is free Wine/Beer for everyone, free courtesy bikes, free pump outs, dog park, free laundry.. there are even gas BBQ grills at the end of every dock with great seating areas.. and the list goes on!!
Add BLM to your east coast itinerary you won't regret it!!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

St James marina, was a none planed stop, but with a solid blow on its way. It was perfect. Would have given them 5 stars but there is not much to do and no restaurants near by. But I think there is plans for more development. The facilities where very clean and the staff where there to help us dock and make sure we where taken care of. We will stop again soon.

We stayed in the mooring field, because they are in the process of building new docks. Was there for a 40 knot blow, great place to hunker down. Great restaurants and easy on off tender dock to access the town. Thumps up to Larry for making our stay a great one.

Safe Harbour Jarrett Bay is one of the best yards we have ever dry-docked. Super safe, very professional staff, they even check out jack stands on a regular basis. We came back to the boat as we left her, and the beat with nothing was stolen! If your a big boat Captain consider making the run north for your yard period. They have a 350t travel lift and getting a larger one shortly. Thumbs up too Mark, Bruce and there team.

Town Creek Marina's owners, Carole & Steve are some of the kindest marina owners we have ever dealt with. With their amazing team to name a few "Daniel, Walker, Al, Sebastian & Chase" are all there to make you stay, repairs or anything a great one. TCM has had a major face-lift with brand new first class floating docks, newly dredged to 8-11 mlw, fuel in slip and many many more improvements. TCM also has a small but efficient work yard and they get the job done, I would like to add they do some of the best bottom jobs I've seen. The marina is a little off the beaten path but well worth it, also take into account that there is almost no tidal flow making docking a cinch. There is a great restaurant and bar on site and they also have a courtesy car with West Marine and everything you need close by. To all the TCM team Annie, Salty Dog & Eric on "Drunken Monkeys" Thanks you.
