I agree with the comments below regarding the wake and the need for a break wall. However, I understand that most if not all of the marinas in the area have the same issue. The staff here is really helpful and nice and there are stores and restaurants nearby within walking distance. The view of New York City is spectacular in the day and especially at night. It is an easy run to New York City either by Uber or the ferry which is right next door.

what an awesome spot for a marina. It is super quiet and peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. We came in at absolute low tide and I saw areas where there was 5 ft on my sonar, but we never turned up any mud. We left at high tide and had 7 ft minimum all the way out. The channel is well marked. They have a really well stocked boat store and the facilities are really nice. They do have fixed docks, but they were absolutely no problem for us.

This is a great marina! Morgan does a fabulous job of making sure that everything is taken care of. We spent all of August 2023 here and extended through the winter for our winter hibernation. Came back during the winter storm and rode out the snow and everything was perfect. It is a great spot with lots of stores restaurants and a great park adjacent to the marina. All of the people here have been great!

We stayed here for one night on our way to Charleston. We were thrilled it was there and was just what we needed. It has water, 50 Amp power and a great place to walk the dog. As others have stated, don't expect a four star marina as it isn't that. However, it is a great, quiet place to tie up for the night. The management was very friendly and helpful. We'll stop here again.

This really is a very nice marina with a helpful staff and in very good shape. There are also a lot of very nice boats here. We were put on the super long dock that runs parallel to main waterway and were hit by wakes from boats regularly, some of them pretty big. There are spots to take your dog to the bathroom, but there aren't any really any good places for walks.

This marina is in a great location near downtown Charleston. The have a great and super helpful staff and the marina is in very good shape with floating docks. There are plenty of places to walk the dog adjacent to the marina. We were here for a week and our only complaint is that our boat was constantly rolling and being hit by wakes, sometimes from some very large boats including a cruise ship that gunned it right outside the marina. I think for a couple of days while visiting Charleston this would be the perfect spot.

We stayed here for several days as our family was vacationing nearby. The marina has made a lot of improvements to their floating docks. The staff is really helpful and friendly and there is plenty of walking areas for dogs. There is a nice store and breakfast/lunch counter onsite and they were working on a new restaurant while we were there. Our slip was on the ICW and since it isn't a no-wake zone we were hit pretty regularly with wakes from other boats.

This is a very nice place and easy to get my dog on and off for walks. The dock is on the other side of the river from the main part of downtown Savannah, but they have a great shuttle boat that runs very frequently. The only problem is that the river has a lot of traffic including large ships and it is not a no-wake zone. The wakes hitting us at times were very large and made for a very rough stay. We ended up cutting our visit short as we were concerned about our boat and didn't want to stay in the rough water.

Nice marina and nice staff. Very pet friendly and easy to take your dog for a walk. There are strong currents when the tide is going out, but it wasn't a problem for us to get onto the T-head. There is a nice restaurant on site and there was a guy playing guitar which made for a really nice atmosphere.

We really enjoyed out stay here primarily because of the staff and in particular Aaron. The people who have boats at the marina were also very nice. The marina is in great shape and in a very nice spot. There are restaurants and stores very close by and they have a marina truck that can be used and we did. We were also hailed by Aaron on our way in and really appreciated his assistance with docking.

Nice marina about two miles off the ICW. Two guys were waiting for us to arrive and helped us dock. We were only here about 18 hours, but enjoyed dinner at the restaurant and I was able to take our dog on several walks. Good marina for dogs. There were no wake issues. A very pleasant stay.

Very nice smaller marina. Easy access to and from ICW. Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants and shopping near by. They have bathrooms, showers and laundry, but we didn't use them. They also have gas and diesel. Very easy to get pets on and off and great walking areas for them. Local liveaboards very friendly.

The marina and the people are very nice and the surrounding island is pretty with nice shops a grocery store and hardware store near by.
However, getting into the marina is a little unnerving due to the shallow water approaching the marina. Additionally, we ended up here on a night when there was a very strong north wind. The waves that hit our boat were pretty brutal. We were told they had a sea wall at one time, but it was destroyed by a storm.
I did make it in here without any issues and it was easier going back out as I had a track to follow. A smaller boat with a smaller draft would enjoy this stop assuming there was no bad weather.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Forward to Nov, 2021 from July of 2019 and they have done a ton of great things to this marina. It is really a great spot. The facilities are very nice and they recently dredged it and the entrance so getting in is no problem. We have 220v 50amp connected as I type and water as well. There is a great little restaurant called Tacky Jacks with a nice bar too. I guess the bank must have sold it and they are really fixing it up nice. The staff here is also very friendly and helpful. We had three guys waiting for us to help us tie up. As we pulled in they were also filming a movie here called Alien Shark.

We arrived on a Saturday and the marina was full. We had a reservation, but they had accidently made it at the RV portion of the business. Rachel was so nice and helpful and allowed us to stay at the fuel dock for two nights. Max then found us a slip and we stayed for five more nights. The people here are really friendly and it is in a nice quiet place. You do have some planes landing at the executive airport, but we actually loved this. The RV Park next door has a great restaurant and shopping is only a couple of miles away. Very pet friendly and easy to walk your dog.

We arrived while they were still cleaning up from the last hurricane. It is a narrow entrance to get in, but does have everything you need. We had power and water and they weren't charging people due to the hurricane cleanup. Great place for a pet. Lots of walking paths around the dock. It looks like this was a really nice place before the hurricane and given a little time I think it will be again.

We stayed three nights starting on 10/18/21. This is a really cool spot. You are right next to the old town of Morgan City and there are places to eat and shops. There are wakes after barges and boats go by, but nothing really bad. There is also a train bridge near by and trains go by a few times per day. It was no problem for us. It is a awesome spot if you have a dog. There are all kinds of places to take them on walks. The people are very friendly and helpful.

After reading some of the reviews, I was expecting a pretty dumpy place. We were very pleasantly surprised. It does appear they have done repairs since some of the reviews were written. We arrived on a Sunday. They are closed on Sunday, but they did answer the phone and gave us instructions. We were able to connect to power and water and trued up with them before we left the next morning. This is a great spot to spend the night and is a great area if you have a pet as you can take them for a walk in the park/boat launch area next door. The people were very friendly and we enjoyed it quite a bit.

We did it because there were still strong north winds from the storm the night before. Doing so almost eliminated all of the wind and in addition to our anchor we tied a rope to a tree. Got a great night's sleep!! There is a little fishing spot and park to the west of the anchorage where I was able to take our dog to use the bathroom. You'll see it as you are entering the anchorage. We have T-Mobile and had very little cell service.

We were up all night resetting the anchor as the mud is super soft. It held fine before the wind started. I also had to travel about 3/4 of a mile or more to get my dog off our dinghy to use the bathroom. There was an old boat ramp, but no trespassing signs were right at the top. There was enough room for him to get off and use the bathroom.
