Dinghy dock is across the harbor at the Central Wharf and available until 11:30pm. Harbormaster is very helpful and overnight tie-up can be arranged.

Anchorage Review for Plato Island

Draft: 4.0'Overall Rating:4Holding:5Wind Protection:5Current Flow:5Wake Protection:5Scenic Beauty:4Ease of Shopping:1Shore Access:1Pet Friendly:4Cell Service:5WiFi:1There is now a no anchorage area in the north side of the pond that is clearly marked with "no achoring/no shellfishing" markers. The guide's suggestion that drafts of less than 6 feet won't have a problem getting in is inaccurate unless you're coming in at high tide. I draw 4 feet and had a foot under the keel at mid tide getting in and 2 feet in the Pond a dead low. It's rather a long dinghy ride to town but possible. I recommend planning on a quiet night on-board. Otherwise, the an anchorage is as described, picturesque, quiet, and protected with excellent holding on thick mud.
