Beautiful view of the NY skyline framed by the Geo Washington Bridge and NJ Palisades cliffs. Wind protection from only the west and a fairly strong current with the changing tides. There's a nice public park with a playground and picnic area you could dingy into to relieve your pet as well as a beautiful walking trail running along the Hudson River. Very limited boat traffic (only saw one ferry) in a wide part of the River. Excellent spot to drop the hook for the night!
