Description:
This is a little further in off the ICW, with excellent shelter all around. We prefer this to the primary Church Creek anchorage. Good holding in mud.

4 9 2025 we usually anchor at Church Creek enterance but traveling with two other boats we figured we would try this for more room for everyone. Less wakes from ICW here and good holding. Some crab pots but not an issue. We like to sit here to time our passage through Elliott cut for slack or low current. The one boat raveling with us was also timing for slack current arrival at Ashley marina in Charleston to ease stress for docking.

Well protected off the ICW. Anchored with a few other Loopers and watched the dolphins play.

A bit off the ICW, it a gorgeous spot with good anchoring. No wakes. Distant trees (.25 to .5 miles) help with the wind.

This is our go-to spot when coming through this area at "quitting time." Nice, calm, sheltered anchorage, off the beaten path, with lovely views all around.
