Coal Fire Creek is the turn off into what looks like an open bay on the northeast corner of the intersection bounded on the south by a part of the LDB. Turn off towards LDB at mm 309.3 and head NE up the Coal Fire Cutoff holding the bank on your starboard side about 100 yards offshore for more than 20 feet of water. Continue up 0.2 miles and move north into lesser depths and anchor in 10 to 15 feet of water with good swing room and enough space for three boats. Good protection from wakes, wind, and waves and good holding in mud. If you are planning to stay for a while, continue up the cutoff for another three quarters of a mile into an open area, well protected with ten to fifteen feet of water and plenty of swing room an privacy. Dinghy to shore at the rec center across the channel on RDB for pet relief and leg stretching. Cellular coverage is 1 bar for Verizon and T-Mobile, 3 bars ATT.
