Had spent the previous night at an open anchorage in Horn Harbor. Good anchorage, had 6-7 feet, centered in creek just past Dare Marina & Sea RR. Anchor held first time, came up next day with some mud but not excessive. Dare marina is available for dinghy docks, did not ask if there was a charge. It was a very windy day 6 September on Chesapeake Bay so we wanted quiet & less rocking. Locals very friendly, homeowner came by on jet ski invited us to see fireworks on another creek. Limited boat traffic, watermen & day boats but all courteous.

Good depth for deeper draft vessels. Much less boat traffic than in the wider sections of the creek.
