I'm an experienced delivery skipper. I see a lot of yards and marinas. I don't give out five stars lightly. Bert Jabin's Yacht Yard is definitely deserving.

Rod Jabin, son of founder the late Bert, has been running BJYY for years. The caliber of his staff, skills, and attitudes speak to his leadership. Everyone I have dealt with from dockhands to Rod have been laser focused on customer service.

One interesting thing about Jabin's is that they have picked their lane and stay in it. There are a lot of on-site service providers. BJYY focuses on slips, haul-out, dry stacks, and associated functions. Pretty much anything else you need is available but the yard itself provides the infrastructure.

    It's fantastic infrastructure.

Reasonable walking distance to groceries, West Marine, Fawcett, and True Value. Nearby Rocco's Pizza delivers to boats. On-site cafe for breakfast and lunch.  UPDATE 7/15/2025

Today the engine on a boat I was delivering overheated. While waiting for SeaTow I called Jabin's for space to get serviced. They got us a place. Dockmaster DJ and team of dockhands met us in Back Creek and took over from the towboat and moved us with platinum level professionalism into our slip, even arranging the fenders. While this may seem trivial, all the cleat hitches were properly made and solid clove hitches on the fender whips. There aren't many places where I completely trust the dock crew the way I do at Bert Jabin's Yacht Yard.

    I am a fan.

We haul here on our way north each year. The last few years have been very satisfying. The team really takes care of the boat and works hard to make sure you understand everything that is going on. The office team is easy to talk with and the inevitable slippage in time on the hard is met with equanimity. There are numerous contractors on site and many others in the area.
