Channel had been dredged, narrow but accessible, obstructions well marked and water clear so shoaling can be seen easily. The docks are adequate. No protection from N/NW winds which is what we had. We were at the end of season but lucky enough to get fresh oysters, shrimp and homemade clam chowder. Very quaint town.

We really enjoyed Cuttyhunk. Small quaint island. A few small restaurants, fresh seafood and T-shirt shops. The marina has multiple moorings in a well protected site. Pretty beaches especially along the inlet to the harbor. Is a great place for a quiet relaxing stay. Will definitely be back.

CUTTYHUNK IS A UNIQUE PLACE. ONE OF THE ELIZABETH ISLANDS WHICH ARE ALL PRIVATELY OWNED EXCEPT FOR CUTTYHUNK. THE HARBOR IS WELL PROTECTED. THERE ARE PLENTY OF MOORINGS, WHICH INCLUDE A STAFF WITH AN EYE ON TOP, MAKING IT EASY TO THREAD YOUR OWN LINE THROUGH TO SECURE YOUR BOAT. MOORINGS LAST SUMMER WERE $45/NIGHT. THERE IS NO LAUNCH SERVICE. THERE IS A SHELLFISH FARM ON THE ISLAND AND THEY COME AROUND EVERY EVENING WITH RAW CLAMS AND OYSTERS FOR SALE. THEY OPEN THEM FOR YOU AND SERVE COMPLETE WITH LEMON AND COCKTAIL SAUCE. THEY ARE DELICIOUS AND GO WELL WITH ANY COCKTAIL OF YOUR CHOICE. THE MARINA IS SMALL AND ONLY A FEW SLIPS FOR SAILBOATS, SINCE IT IS SHALLOW AT DOCKSIDE. THERE IS A FUEL DOCK AS WELL WITH DIESEL, GAS, ICE & WATER. ONCE ASHORE THERE ARE SOME SMALL SHOPS RIGHT ON THE DOCK. THEY CHANGE EACH YEAR BUT BASICALLY IT'S ICE CREAM & TEE SHIRTS. THERE ARE 2 B & B'S ON THE ISLAND. ONE IS STILL CALLED BY IT'S ORIGINAL NAME, THE FISHERMAN'S CLUB. THE PLACE SITS ON TOP OF A HILL OVERLOOKING VINEYARD SOUND AND THE VIEW IS FANTASTIC. THEY ARE OPEN FOR BREAKFAST TO THE PUBLIC. DON'T MISS IT. THE FOOD IS GREAT. THERE IS GOOD HIKING ON THE ISLAND AND EASY TO ACCOMPLISH IN A DAY SINCE THE ISLAND IS SMALL

The marina is in good condition and the harbormaster is extremely accommodating. You can cancel a reservation within 24 hours for a full refund. Plenty of 30 and 50 amp outlets. Water is available for every slip. If you have never been to Cuttyhunk, it is a great experience if you like a small very quiet island. Raw bar and lobster delivered to your boat. A limited restaurant and a small grocery store for essentials.
