Great help from Caitlyn for docking and assisting with customs check in. Wonderful docks and 240v power for 50 amp service! Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Clean area and very nice boaters in the marina.

28-29 Jul 2023. Port of Rochester Marina. Catlyn and Al are awesome. Had made reservations for a Friday and Saturday night, but told them we might be there early. They were able to get us in for a Thursday and Friday night stay. It is a very well run Marina and Al met us there to help us dock and get situated. He brought everything out that we needed including a key fob for the restrooms told us where everything was. The restrooms and showers are outstanding. They are quite a long way away from the transient dock but there are restaurants along that wall as well. We had to get some boxes to the post office which was about a quarter of a mile away. They helped us get the boxes there. You have to eat at Dominics which is right up the hill. Wi-Fi service was good. T-Mobile and Verizon were a challenge. Nice sturdy floating docks. Keyed entry into the marina. Resturants and shops in walking distance. There is a park across the street. Very nice. The staff met us and helped up dock. Had a problem with the power about an hour later and the dock hand immediately came over. It was a tripped breaker in the junction box. The transient wall is to the left of the entrance. The bathrooms and lounge are on the opposite side of the marina. It is a 10 minute walk to the bathroom, around the marina and past the restaurants.. Glad there were trash bins on our side, but a bathroom would be nice.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Great clean marina. Good water depth after the entrance. Lovely side tie dock with moveable cleats for better docking experience. Tripped Pedestal breaker with older 50 amp system but Dockmaster was able to make adjustments to system and all was well. Water pressure was great. Close to restaurants and annual boaters were very helpful and friendly. Staff were very helpful.

Very nice marina. Well protected from wind, which is why we were hiding here. Spent 3 days and enjoyed it. There is a bike trail along the Genesee river, its worth the ride. Easy access to a variety of restaurants within a short walk. Great staff and facilities. No fuel at this marina, you have to go to Shumways, they were pricy. If you are this side of Lake Ontario, its worth a stop.

Almost brand new marina, cut out of an old parking lot for the defunct fast ferry to Toronto. Two restaurants on site, ice cream, and other restaurants within walking distance. Remarkably quiet, considering the urban nature of the area. Closest grocery store is a mile away and the closest chain grocery is over 3 miles distant. Very nice lakefront park adjacent to the marina. Marina is well secured, has an excellent captain's lounge an laundry. Staff is friendly and helpful. Floating docks with wide berths, movable cleats, and with dockside depth of 12+ feet. Excellent WiFi and excellent cellular reception on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. No negatives to report.

Very wide slips on new floating docks. Everything looks brand new. Dockmaster was very helpful getting us into our slip with 20 knots winds. Well protected harbor. Nice modern facilities and several nice restaurants. Lots of great places to walk a dog including longs walkways right on Lake Ontario.

This is a great spot for a transient. Only 5 yrs old, face docks floating, in very good shape; staff helpful and friendly; good restaurant on site; only relative drawback is 1/4 mile walk to the office - but it's good exercise. Definitely would stay here again.

Dick and I just had a wonderful stay at the Port of Rochester Marina. We found it by referral from another marina that was not functioning. It is 2 years old, modern with floating docks. The marina manager, Marianne, was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Adjacent to the marina is a restaurant, bar and custard shop as well as a marina store. Laundry has modern, commercial style washer and dryer and it is free. The lounge has a large wide screen TV as well as comfortable furnishings and a desk. We encourage waterway guide to include this marina. The approach and slips are more than adequate depth which will accommodate most large motor yachts and sailboats.
