During our all too brief time at SH-Skull Creek we found every member of the SH-SC Team to be friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile.

Thanks to James, Michael, and Amanda!

Very competent and friendly staff. Michael helped with a nice soft docking into a slip. Floating concrete piers are in excellent shape and boats docked here are well-maintained (no floating junk.) Piers have locked gates for security. Lovely marina overall. Well maintained. Dog friendly with plenty of places to walk. Loaner bikes including e-bikes available but weather didn't permit touring the island. Only downside is no on-premises restaurant and it's a hike to the few that are nearby. We ended up eating aboard. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

$5.30 per gallon for gasoline? That's all I have to say really. $10 per day to use their restrooms.

Very good and helpful staff. Called for transient reservation and they promptly sent all the necessary info to email. On day of arrival, they called to confirm our status and estimated arrival. Upon arrival, two on the dock to assist which was very helpful as the west wind was blowing us into the dock. Skull Creek Dock House restaurant is permanently closed. Walked about 1.5 mi to Hudsons and had a very good meal; no reservations, get there early. By the time we left after dinner (6:30), there was a 1.5 hr wait. Nice walk there & back. Showers (2) were clean with very good water pressure. Laundry has only one washer & dryer. No lounge.

Ben and his dockhands were excellent. We were on the inside up against the shoreline and very well protected from the 20kt north winds. Had a great dinner at the Skull Creek Dock House Restaurant.

The prices have gone up since we were there last, but they've made some repairs to the marina and are actively improving the docks. The staff are really good.

The Driftwood restaurant next to this marina is good. The other restaurants up the creek are reachable by dinghy with ample dockage, but are VERY busy every day of the week. You'll probably want to be there an hour before you're hungry.

Nice marina in relaxed location. You have 4 restaurants a short dinghy ride away and one short walking distance. There is one washer/dryer. $1.50 each. Bathrooms/showers relatively clean. Very small. There is a boat rental place here so quite a few small boats in and out. It is a no wake zone. About 80% of boats follow the no wake. Docks are new floating ones and fuel dock is nice. Marina staff helpful. We’ve also anchored in skull creek area which is great too. Easy stop if you want a marina for laundry/power/water.

Our boat was here on a T-dock for the fall out of Hurricane Dorian, and survived unscathed. However, Skull Creek sees a LOT of traffic and a LOT of tidal current. There is also considerable wind exposure north and south, so if you're not in the core of the marina you will get jostled around considerably.

The staff were decent, but the marina changed hands recently and much has changed that we were not exposed to.

There is not much to do in the immediate vicinity without typical HHI memberships which are not included in this marina's fees.

Wifi out at our T-dock was on the fringe of coverage.

    It is reasonably priced.

Wonderful marina with deep water and easy access off the ICW. Floating docks and friendly helpful staff. Courtesy car was a god send. Able to go to grocery, drug, and West Marine stores. Great restaurants ( Hudson’s, Boathouse, and Dockside). a close dinghy ride away. Bathrooms clean, washer and dryer, fuel on site. Recommend.

Stopped for fuel on the late afternoon because we were not going to make it to Beaufort, SC before their fuel dock closed. Skull Creek has beautiful brand new concrete floating docks. The fuel dock is the second most northerly dock with an easy approach. There was a lot of current parallel to the face clock. Attentive and reasonably competent dock attendant helped with lines and diesel hose but not with rubbish or water hose. My only complaint was the exhorbitant $3.79 per gallon for diesel. Thunderbolt to the south and Beaufort to the north undercut that by as much as 70 cents per gallon. Do plan your fuel stops more efficiently than I did today.
