CAUTION
- Date Reported: Jan 1, 2018
- Reporter: Waterway Guide Staff
- Source: Waterway Guide Staff
- Description:
There is no magenta line on the chart between green can G"125" and green-red buoy (2+1) GR "LEI." Underpowered auxiliaries with deep drafts should transit this area on a rising tide. Prudence must prevail where the New Jersey ICW route crosses the twin inlets, Beach Haven and Little Egg, between Mile 55 and Mile 50. The ocean swells carry inside to break on shoal spots, but with care you can make the crossing in all but the worst weather conditions.

Vessel Type: Power
LOA: 36'
Draft: 3.5'This inlet is accessible on a rising tide for vessels drawing 30" to 35" . Weather and winds are important factors and crossing Great Bay into the Mullica River should only be done on a flooding tide. Extreme care should be taken to avoid shoaling marked by breakers. The optimum course to enter transit the inlet is +/- 280 degrees Mag. and then intersect the ICW once inside the inlet.
