VA: Elizabeth River, Norfolk Southern #7 RR Bridge, Schedule Deviation

Mariners are advised of a bridge deviation for the Norfolk Southern #7 Railroad Bridge, over the Elizabeth River, mile marker 5.8, in Chesapeake, VA to facilitate maintenance.
Dates/Times for Deviation:
From April 9, 2025, through April 23, 2025, the bridge will be maintained in the closed to navigation position from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. each day, except for the following daily openings:
9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The bridge will not be able to open for emergencies and there is no alternate route. Vessels that could safely transit the bridge in the closed position could do so at any time. During all other times the bridge will operate in accordance with the published operating schedule outlined in 33CFR117.997(d).
