Follow these guidelines to maximize chances of being locked through at the end of the day:
- At lockstations with one lock, boaters must arrive at the designated blue line 30 minutes before closing
- At lockstations with more than one lock, 30 minutes per lock chamber is required (example: three locks = arrive 90 minutes before closing)
- At swing bridges (including Brass Point Bridge) boaters must arrive 20 minutes before closing

- Access to lockstations is prohibited between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am
- Lockstations are not staffed after-hours
- For emergencies after-hours, please call 911 for police, fire, ambulance

Draft: 4.5'19 Jun 2023. Going from Kingston to Ottawa we stayed at the bottom of lock 33. An outstanding lockmaster there gave us local information. We took a taxi into the town of Perth. As we were wrapping up eating at one of the restaurants one of the lock attendants noticed us and offered us a ride back to the lock. It's a very worthwhile visit. The lock wall does have power available and you can walk to Lock 34 to be able to take a shower. It was fairly crowded upon departure so we elected to back out rather than try to turn around. Draft: 4.0'Tied up at the lower end of this lock twice in summer 2022. Once for a couple hours for lunch, then a week later overnight. Very quiet and peaceful. Both times, there were only one or two other boats tied up there, and there were not boats passing through the lock. <br /> <br /> Power is available, for a small charge - I've forgotten what I paid - maybe C$10? Depending on where you are tied up, the power pedestal might be set back a bit from our boat - the lock staff loaned us an additional power cord as the two we had would not quite reach. Some spots are much closer to power points, just depends on where you are tied up. <br /> <br /> Power available only on one side - your right as you are heading from the lake toward the lock. There is space to tie up on the other side, but no power over there. <br /> <br /> This lock station is remote, no services within walking distance. A bit buggy, which meant we passed on our plan to take our bicycles out for a ride.

Draft: 3.0'Stayed overnight mid June 2017 sheltering from strong wind on the lake. Only boat there. Quiet, clean, power worked fine. Water available but lockmaster would need to set a hose from the lockstation. Lockmaster kind and helpful. Far from shops or restaurants.
