| Noteworthy: | We originally pulled into the area behind the Boomtown Casino, but security came by and told us we couldn't stay there. They told us that we could go to the bulkhead in front of the parking lot, which we did. We spent the night at this spot. It is a metal bulkhead not more than a foot above the water level. We lowered our fenders to the water level and had a great night. There was very little traffic and the couple of barges that went by didn't cause any problem, just a little wake. We went to dinner in the casino and even won a whopping $5.00. Not the greatest spot, but it did us great as we couldn't get to Seabrook Marina in New Orleans until the next day. Several people have mentioned to us that both pleasure craft and tugs are seen tied up their regularly. |
