Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 42'
Draft: 5.0'Our mast is 64'.. the board read a little over 64,no wind with outgoing tide. The bolts in the 4th board down were showing… we got thru with antenna pinging and a few inches above.. very tight bridge but board appeared correct to us..

Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 50'
Draft: 6.5'This was 2 hrs post purported low tide. Locals claim no astronomical tides here) Southwest wind-driven seiche frequent from hyper shallow Carrituck Sound. The 65 on this tideboard sure doesn't look like it sees a lot of daylight. No poll utility of this app. was going to ask, who built the Pungo Ferry Bridge A) CDC, B) Army Corp of Ruineers?

Vessel Type: Sail
LOA: 40'
Draft: 6.7'Observed 63.9' after a 36 hour south wind, traveling northbound after observing tide board of 65.0' at Coinjock. Backtracked 18nm south to Coinjock and waited 36 hours. Hailing northbound traffic to phone back tide boards helped quite a bit. Anchoring out of the channel at Pungo Ferry Bridge in heavy weather offered poor holding and little room to swing on anchor (in current and S wind), so plan ahead if your mast is near 64 feet and utilize northbound traffic if your clearance is marginal.
