Bon Secour River, South Point Channel

• Description:

  There is a marked channel that leads to the anchorage. USACE soundings can be found on Aqua Map and Waterway Guide. Anchor in 8 feet of water. Mud bottom with good holding. We were able to go ashore at the adjacent RV park ($10 fee) and get a Walmart delivery. Good wind protection except from the north. Peaceful anchorage with no wakes. The tide is about a foot and a half.
