Southwest Allen Cay (Outside)

• Depth: 15'-20'
• Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
• Description:

  In most of the Exumas shallow water is the rule but such is not the case on the banks immediately west of Allen Cay. Unless one is prepared to set an anchor in +20' of water or be at least 0.50nm off the shoreline it will be difficult to find an anchorage. There is only a small patch of sand south of  the entrance to the inner lagoon that offers acceptable holding in less than 20' of water.
