Runaway Bay

• Description:

  The marina is technically closed, and the docks are in terrible condition but there is one part of a dock that is used by local fishing boats. Beyond the docks there is a turning basin that is large enough for a single vessel to anchor if they can drop their anchor exactly in the center of the basin.  The protection within the basin is excellent and the holding is good, however due to the limited space this anchorage should be considered an emergency stop only. If bad weather is forecast every effort should be expended to reach either Rock Sound to the south or Governor’s Harbour to the north
