- Description:
Matt Lowe’s Cay is a private island that is home to a newly developed resort called Montage Cay. All of the beaches are posted 'no trespassing' and landing is strictly prohibited. There is a very nice and well-protected anchorage on the southwest corner of the cay. The anchorage is large enough for 3-4 vessels and is only 2.5nm from the entrance to Marsh Harbour, which makes it a good choice for boaters who want to run their water makers to fill their tanks prior to entering the harbor. Conversely, it is close enough to reach the anchorage before dark even if you depart from Marsh Harbour just before sunset.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
