  The outside anchorage at Little Harbour is recommended as a day anchorage that can be used by vessels waiting for the tide to rise high enough to transit the channel into the inner harbor. The holding is good in the anchorage and protection from east through southwest is excellent.  But, there is always a swell that at times can be uncomfortable and since there are better anchorages nearby there is no reason to spend any longer here than is absolutely necessary.
