- Description:
Devils Cay is an uninhabited cay that–like all the barrier islands in this part of the Berrys–is subjected to ferocious currents where the Cay meets open water. On the north end of the Cay, there is a hard bar connecting Saddle Back Cay that is awash at low tide.
The yellow iron shore of the cay presents a stark contrast to the glittering, clear blue water and in prevailing easterly winds, there is good protection from the wind and the holding is good, if you take the time to locate the pockets of sand.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
