- Description:
Upper Adams Creek stopover. This is an open area offering some protection from the north to east elements. It is an easy access place to stop for an evening if time doesn't allow transiting the Neuse or going south to Moorhead City. Far enough of the ICW to let the waves mellow out. Typical crab pot floats in season. We have used this area several times and lets us avoid competition for the anchorages just south of here. Fair to good cell service on T-Mobile and some TV reception. Barges do run the area at night so make sure you are well off the waterway.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
