Town of Bridgeton

  • Location: Neuse River
  • Lat / Lon: N 35° 07.040' / W 077° 01.327'
  • Depth: 5+
  • Tide: 3 feet
  • Description:

We do not recommend anchoring south of the boatyard as the old bridge from Bridgeton to New Bern was located here and the possibility of fouling your anchor on debris exists. This is a good anchorage in N to E winds where the New Bern side of the river may become quite choppy.

DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
