Anchored here for two nights in 10 feet of water (the basin was about 4.5 feet above normal). Anchor came up with clay and a few weeds. Dingy access to shore either at the lock dock, or if you ask nicely, at Marina de Chambly, between the hourly pay dock and the shore. Large grocery store with block ice very close to the lock. Ice cream and fudge shop are walking distance in town. Good walking/bike path along the canal. Historic fort overlooks this section of the Basin.
