Thwartway Island
- Lat / Lon: N 44° 17.486' / W 076° 09.073'
- Description:
A popular anchorage is in the big bay off Leek Island's southeast shore where Parks Canada has set five mooring balls. Another anchorage is on this island's northeast side, with weed-free water almost to shore. The island's biggest bay is on the west side, with a sandy beach. This west bay is very popular with local residents and cottagers, who are familiar with all the rocks on the way in. This is a great place to swim, but anchoring is recommended in the southeast bay, just a short walk across the island.
