- Description:
Sought shelter here when weather came up on Barnegat Bay. Got a good hook. Turned out to be a very comfortable place to wait out a blow. One of the nearby homeowners offered us use of his dock should we need it—the weather was really not very nice so I think he was taking pity on us. We didn't need it, but it is not every day you encounter kindness like that from homeowners by an anchorage.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
