- Depth: 7-10 feet
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
The Great Harbour Anchorage is only suitable for settled weather or for use as a lunch stop. In prevailing easterly winds there is almost always a swell that will change from gentle rocking to a circus ride as the wind increases. During the day–particularly in the mornings–there will also be steady wakes from power boats taking cruise ship passengers to visit the Berry’s version of Pig Beach, which is located on Goat Cay just north of Lingnumvitae Cay.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
