- Location: Illinois River
- Mile Marker: 215.0 LDB
- Lat / Lon: N 41° 19.302' / W 089° 15.841'
- Depth: 7 feet
- Tide: Check LaSalle gage prior to anchoring
- Description:
Anchored in 7 ft of water with La Salle gage at 12.3 halfway between shore and red buoy. Since this is inside the bend, this is far enough from the channel to feel safe. Muddy bottom, very good holding. Since we had West Wind, we used a stern anchor, just in case. Very peaceful, feels much more secluded than it actually is.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
