- Description:
We anchored off the lower, skinny island in about 15' of water. Anchor held well and came up clean. Moderate current held the boat straight. Landed the dinghy on the small island without issue. Long fetch down river, so if concerned about weather I'd recommend going farther up behind the larger island. Northbound tows generated a little rolling, but not a problem... A good option if there's not enough water at the Sistersville public dock, although there are several walls a bit farther up near New Martinsville.
