- Description: The anchorage in Cayo Cocos is in a deep canal between two mangrove cayos. The entrance is a double dogleg, which requires careful reading of the water to execute properly. If done correctly, you should never find yourself in less than 2.5m of water, making this one of the deepest anchorages in the area and our first choice as a hiding place for riding our strong N winds. See Waterway Guide Cuba for details on navigation and approaches.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
