Santa Lucia
- Location: Cuba
- Lat / Lon: N 22° 40.807' / W 083° 58.017'
- Depth: 3-4 meters
- Description: The anchorage in Santa Lucia is well protected and suitable as a location to ride out a cold front, if necessary. That said, the fumes of the sulphuric acid plant are strong and a wind shift will result in an unpleasant experience. Also, the local Guarda Frontera base does not welcome cruisers, so unless you must stop, it is best to continue elsewhere. See Waterway Guide Cuba for details on navigation and approaches.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
