Inner Long Cove
- Location: Penobscot Bay
- Mile Marker: Vinalhaven
- Lat / Lon: N 44° 05.600' / W 068° 52.920'
- Depth: 14-24 ft
- Description: Near the top of a rising tide, it is possible to cross the reef that cuts off access to the far reaches of the cove during low tide. The water deepens appreciably beyond the reef with numerous pools of 20 to 30 feet at MLW, making good anchorage spots amid rustic surroundings as well as being the perfect hurricane hole.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
