Hurricane Island Foundation Moorings

  • Location: Penobscot Bay
  • Lat / Lon: N 44° 02.090' / W 068° 53.070'
  • Depth: 26-41 ft
  • Description:

On approach, look out for the spindle-marked ledge fronting the east side of the island, which will block a straightforward run at the moorings. Four moorings (marked by bright orange floats with pick-up toggles) are located on the east side of the island on a first-come, first-served basis (overnight or as a day stop at two different fees).

    https://guides.cruisingclub.org/harbor/hurricane-island for more information.

Hurricane has several guest moorings on the island's east side and a small dinghy that is available if you need to travel between your mooring and the float. Please notify ahead of time if you wish to reserve a mooring as they are first come first served otherwise, and do fill up for events and weekends.

    Email to info@hurricaneisland.net:
