Searsport Harbor
- Location: Gulf of Maine
- Mile Marker: Penobscot Bay
- Lat / Lon: N 44° 26.920' / W 068° 55.540'
- Depth: 23-32 ft
- Description: 9-foot tidal range. Prevailing southwesterlies are tempered by Islesboro Island, yet it is often quite breezy in the afternoon. The accompanying seesaw action of waves over a long fetch regularly sends boats on insufficient scope drifting into the mooring field even though the holding is good; make sure your anchor is well set.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
